Virginia Police Benevolent Association Endorses Justin Fairfax

ARLINGTON, Virginia- Today, the Virginia Police Benevolent Association (Virginia PBA) endorsed Justin Fairfax for Lieutenant Governor. The Virginia PBA is a Division of the Southern States Police Benevolent Association, which has 47,000 members nationwide and is considered “the voice of law enforcement.”

“We are proud to support Justin Fairfax for Lieutenant Governor of Virginia. As a former federal prosecutor who has family members in law enforcement, Justin respects and appreciates those in law enforcement and their service to the community. We are confident that Justin will fight for the people of Virginia and make public safety a priority throughout the Commonwealth. We look forward to working with him as lieutenant governor.”

-Virginia Police Benevolent Association President Joe Woloszyn

Upon receiving the endorsement, Justin Fairfax made this statement:

“I am proud to have the endorsement of the Virginia Police Benevolent Association. Virginia PBA represents thousands of law enforcement officers in the Commonwealth of Virginia, and I am grateful for their support.  As a former Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Eastern District of Virginia, I keenly understand the important, challenging and, at times, complex mission of our law enforcement professionals. As someone who has family members who are members of our law enforcement community, I know that our police are often on the front lines of many of the toughest challenges our communities face.  Whether state, county or municipal, I will work hard as Lt. Governor to support our law enforcement community. Having the endorsement of the Virginia Police Benevolent Association means a great deal to me.”
